Emotions Behind the Mask

As you all know, COVID-19 has significantly changed our world and overwhelmed our healthcare system. Most nurses continue to have a smiling face, especially Filipino-American nurses, in front of their patients and coworkers even if, deep down, they are also suffering from the emotional toll of the pandemic. Behind each nurses’ mask, can be sadness, worry, anxiety, or all of the above.

It is essential for us to care for our caregivers, and also safeguard our clinician’s well-being! In order to do this, PNAMDC’s Membership
Engagement Committee has launched the Emotions Behind the Mask project (an expansion of the ANCC Pathway to Excellence’s #EmotionsBehindtheMask campaign) and plans to:

(1) Identify COVID-19’s impact on the emotional well-being of Filipino-American nurses
(2) Offer different platforms to begin much-needed dialogue, and
(3) Share valuable resources.

In order for PNAMDC’s Membership Engagement Committee to accomplish its first objective, we are inviting you to participate in a short survey.
